What makes your EMT training program superior?

Our classes are designed to meet each student’s individual learning and comprehension levels and we ensure that, upon course completion, students are capable of applying the techniques they learned in the field. Our instructors are active medical professionals—Registered Nurses, Paramedics and EMTs. They are highly knowledgeable in the subjects they teach and are passionate about delivering the highest quality instruction.

Our EMT Online allow students to “attend” class anytime, from anywhere. We also offer useful tools for visual learners that can help students learn faster than in a traditional classroom setting.

Our EMT training program is readily accessible because we offer a large network of class locations. Students can choose among multiple convenient locations to attend their skills sessions instead of being limited to a single, potentially inconvenient location. Thanks to our large network, students have a better chance of being able to complete most of the course near their homes.

What is the process of becoming an Emergency Medical Technician?

Becoming a certified EMT consists of three parts.

  • First is attending the 10-16 week online course. This course is a flexible online study course that can be completed at your own rate. If you are motivated and work hard, you can complete the online portion in less time.
  • The second module consists of four in-person skill days at one of our facilities. You will spend two days performing hands-on training and two days of skills testing.
  • Finally, the student must perform “clinical rotations” on an ambulance or, in some cases, a hospital.

Upon successful completion of these three parts, the student is eligible to apply for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician exam. Once you pass the NREMT testing, you will receive your EMT license.

When and how do I re-certify? - Image related to EMT Trianing

When and how do I re-certify?

Re-certification varies by state. Some states (including Texas) require continuing education hours to maintain your license. Most states require re-certification every 1-2 years, but check with your state’s licensing board to verify re-certification requirements. Or, call us at RC Health Services and we'll help you find out about the licensing requirements for your state.

We all know someone who has taken CPR training for their work. They now have the ability to assist during a crisis at the office. But have you ever wanted to get involved at a higher level? Have you ever passed an accident and wished you could help? If you have felt this calling, then EMT training may be perfect for you.

    Make a difference

Taking EMT training courses is a great way to get in on the ground floor of the medical field. By performing EMT services, you are lending a hand to those who are entrusted with saving lives. You being there to assist could mean the difference between life and death for people.

    Personal satisfaction

There is a sense of satisfaction that comes with being an EMT. Upon completion of your EMT training, you are put into the field for the express purpose of helping to keep people alive during critical instances. Your actions speak volumes, and you have to be on top of your game while working.

    Test yourself

The personal satisfaction does not come easily, however, as you are frequently put to the test every day. You will be pushed to your limits during times of crisis and be expected to pull through in times of duress. EMT training also helps you think on your feet and multitask. While on the job you perpetually have two or more tasks to accomplish at any given time.

EMT training will make you a tougher individual, both mentally and physically. Critical thinking and administering the correct medical aid all while calming down those in trouble can help shape a person in a positive way.
